Spotless 1 1 2 X 2

Spotless is a dark humor drama TV series created in collaboration of British and French filmmakers. The creators of the project and authors of the original idea are Ed McCardie and Corinne Marrinan. The series was released on Canal+ French channel on the 16th of March 2015. Production matters were carried out by Tandem Communications together with Rosetta Media. The show was officially prolonged for season 2; however, Esquire Network keeps silent about Spotless season 2 release date.

It's a bold drama series with elements of dark and dirty humor and sex jokes. The action of Spotless takes place in London. The main character of the series is Jean Bastiere – a man with troublesome past. He deals with Crime Scene Cleaning. His usual way of life changes dramatically when his brother named Martin, a typical outlaw, crashes into his habitual world. Throughout the series, in every new episode, dark secrets of brothers' past are revealed. Sins of the past result in dangerous circumstances in the present. Corruption, drugs and dangerous business form a hazardous mixture together with their lives. Julie, wife of Jean struggles together with her husband to restore peace in their family life and in their future.

The action revolves in London. Two brother named Jean and Martin live their lives enduring a dark childhood secret trauma.

  1. Jess is the first voice you will hear when calling Spotless Solutions. She will set up your estimate, and follow up to make sure you were happy with the outcome of your project. Jess excels with her customer service skills and is fully trained to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
  2. Jean discovers something interesting on Kendrick's hard drive. Julie finds out about 3 loans Jean has secured against their house and Victor Clay starts his move on her.
  3. And we know that the common ratio is 1/7. So let me just write it again a little bit neater. G(t) is going to be equal to our initial value, -2, times times our common ratio, 1/7, to the t power. And hopefully this makes sense. Initial value is this number. Well, if t is equal to 0, then 1/7 to the zero power is 1.

Younger brother's name is Jean (portrayed by Marc-André Grondin). He's the owner of a very successful agency dealing with crime scene cleanup. The series follows his perfect personal and professional life, where everything seems to be ideal.

Martin's presence partially unsettles the happy family world of Jean and his wife Julie (portrayed by Miranda Raison). Hidden truths come to light and Julie does her best to take control over the situation.

2nd Season Air Date

The show enjoyed great popularity, which made Esquire Network prolong it for one season more. The 2nd season release date is unknown yet, but we keep our fingers on the pulse not to miss the new episode of Spotless. We will inform you as soon as we get some news.

Promo trailer

Spotless was a Netflix Original foreign series that dropped onto the service back in 2016. Despite the series actually getting renewed, we're still yet to hear anything regarding the second season. Is the show now dead, facing development hell or vanished? Let's take a look.

The dark comedy first aired in France on Canal+ back in early 2015. It wasn't until October 15th, 2016 that it started making its way onto Netflix. In the United States, the series was actually carried by Esquire Network before making its way onto Netflix. The series is dubbed as an Original in every region except France and the United States.

The moody dark comedy scored well with both fans and critics. It was one of the big shows for Esquire Network who eventually decided to renew the show.

To understand what happened to Spotless, we need to dive a little deeper on Esquire Network who announced that season 2 was coming as early as April 2016.

The network was a 50/50 venture between NBCUniversal and the Hearst Corporation, a company who owns Esquire Magazine. The network was replacing the outgoing G4 producing a mixture of programming including some foreign acquisitions like Spotless.

Unfortunately, the network was struggling and eventually came to an end in early 2017. This was after being dropped by multiple cable companies lineups and failing to secure audiences for its shows.

Sadly, had Spotless not been fully transferred to Esquire Network, we may have actually seen the second season. With all the stakeholders involved being rather messy, it's likely that Netflix passed up on the potential of renewing the show.

Is the show dead?

The answer to that question looks to be yes.

The show's Twitter account went silent in December 2016 and most to all of the cast have moved onto different projects.

The last mention of the project that the cast did was earlier this year when Marc-Andre Grondin tweeted about the passing of a crew member on the show.

Heartbroken by the news of the passing of my friend George Panayi. Had the chance to spend 7 months with him on @Spotless. Can't express how great of a person George was. Truly one of a kind. My thoughts are with his kids who he was so proud of. pic.twitter.com/XTKWgjFrqJ

Spotless 1 1 2 X 24

That brings us to now. Two years later, we don't think we'll ever see the return of Spotless which is a shame given it had such potential.
